Here is my progress! I completed practically all of the necessary highlights on my main appliance (antique banana hanger). I can easily change the colors depending on what direction I decide to go in, so perhaps I'll make the colors a bit darker, but they're lighter here for clarity because I understand that looking at this appliance doesn't scream "banana hanger".
I can now look into combining it with nature in some way. My main idea is making this into a tree and tie that into deforestation. Since it's vertical, maybe I can look into making this some kind of poster. For now, I'll keep it simple for the sake of trying to learn a new program efficiently. :)
This is awesome and makes total since for a banana hanger to be compared to a tree of some sorts. The idea you mentioned on deforestation could be quite an interesting task for this project and could result in a powerful and impelling piece. I will say, I still do like the idea you mentioned in class, of the banana hook being turned into a banana tree with little monkeys holding on! Regardless, both ideas I am sure will turn out amazing and I cannot wait to see the end result!
ReplyDeleteThe shape of your object is so interesting, and I feel like I could get lost in the spirals! I would push the lights and darks of the object just to make it a little easier to read from far away since its so spirally, but it's looking really good so far!
